I had a restful night at Madsen Retreat. the venue is centrally located, making it easy to access cafes, the beach, and the business area. the staff was happy to assist with everything. We really appreciated the convenience of the house, which included a fridge, an electric kettle, and a microwave. 😊.

The hotel was in a great position near to all attractions and food options, waterfront / market and the business area and beach walk. The room itself was spotless and well-organised and had LOVELY views of the ocean. Exceptional service was provided.

This hotel features a spacious penthouse suite with a delightful bathroom that adds to the overall charm of the stay.

The owner was friendly and chatty, accommodating my dietary requirements and serving perfectly cooked poached eggs for breakfast. The location was quiet and clean, near the esplanade and beach. On-demand movies, tea/coffee facilities, and a mini-fridge were great bonuses. The spa was lovely.

My Christmas stay was fantastic! The place provided me with complimentary Christmas treats and a lovely Christmas decoration in my room. The location was so convenient, just a few steps away from restaurants and shops. , the view from my room's window was stunning, I could see the ocean and the mountains in the distance. The breakfast they served made my mornings so much better too, especially the avocado toast and fresh fruit.

That the shower was a bit small, and the water pressure wasn't very strong. It made it challenging to wash my hair properly.

Staff was happy to assist me with everything. One of the best aspects was the breakfast with a lot of options and was delicious.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel right at home. They even greeted us with a delicious afternoon tea of scones upon arrival. The room was incredibly comfortable, clean, and filled with natural light. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. We also enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast in the cozy dining room. The service throughout our stay was impeccable - our hosts were happy to assist us with anything we needed. The location was also perfect, as it was close to everything we wanted to explore. We highly recommend this place to family and friends.

We stayed in a quiet area that was close to everything we needed and the hosts were happy to assist with everything. the room and bathroom were comfortable, fresh and had lots of light. the continental breakfast was nice and had cereal, juice, toast and tea/coffee. the property had lovely views and a modern feel with everything you would need if you were staying for a longer time.

The other guests were quite loud playing music late into the night which was disruptive.

Great view and amazing breakfast the view from the room was really outstanding, it was such a pleasure to wake up every morning. Breakfast was really great and we loved the amazing spread. the location was a nice surprise, as it was so close to the market and the waterfront. It was such a convenience to be able to explore the area so easily.

It was really disappointing to feel like our privacy was constantly being invaded.
